Mobile GPS Tracking Service

Some our users continue experiencing problems while opening pages of GPSed.com web site that contains Google Maps inside. Error message “Operation aborted” appears while loading these pages under Internet Explorer browser. We have investigated this issue and realized that error appears only for some modifications of Internet Explorer version 7 and version 6, while other versions of this web browser work well.

Error message appears because of a bug in Internet Explorer itself.  This bug is explained in Microsoft Knowledge Base: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/927917

Here is a quote from the link above:

How do I fix this problem?

The easiest way for you to fix the problem is to upgrade to Internet Explorer 8. This problem no longer occurs in Internet Explorer 8. To upgrade to Internet Explorer 8, visit the following Microsoft Web site:Windows Internet Explorer 8: Home page
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/internet-explorer/beta/default.aspx

For better performance and stable working of GPSed.com web service we recommend to use Mozilla Firefox 3, which can be downloaded from our Downloads page. By the way, Downloads page has been redesigned recently. It’s another reason to check it out.

Do you have latest version of Internet Explorer 8?
How often “Operation aborted” error message appears?
What steps do you perform while error appears?

Raymond Says:

Dear,

I encountered the problem when actions such as rename, go to map, adjust photo etc was done. But fortunately, I discovered that today the reload can be done by hit F5 the refresh key, my map reappeared again.
The problem reoccured several times in a section but Hit F5 key can overcome the problem. Thanks God
