With this post we are opening an article section dedicated to helpful advices how to use GPSed service. We hope our recommendations will come in handy to you so you will enjoy the whole potential of the GPSed service.
Probably not all users of our service know about the functionality of viewing track photos with an easy-to-use and a nice-looking Slide-show. To start the slide-show, a track with attached photos should be selected, for example this one: “Walk trip by Vienna
You can view other photos of this track manually by clicking “Next” and “Previous”, or you can browse all photos of this track automatically by clicking “Auto” button. When automatic browsing is launched, photos will be viewed in cycles, meaning after the last photo in the list the first one will be displayed and so on. You can stop automatic browsing at any moment by clicking “Stop” button.
By the way a pink icon
with a camera on it, on the left of the photo thumbnail, means that this photo has its own coordinates and it can be viewed on a map precisely at a place it was taken. When you click this icon the map automatically lines up for you to see the photo, in the open window on the map you can see coordinates (geographical latitude and longitude) of the photo.
If the photo doesn’t have a pink icon near itself that means photo coordinates were not defined. This photo cannot be seen on the map but it will be included in the slide-show.
We will describe how to attach photos to a track more detailed in our future posts. You can subscribe for GPSed blog RSS to follow the new posts in our blog by clicking a big RSS icon in the right upper corner of this page or enter your email address under the RSS icon to follow the updates.
