When I use the built-in GPS status program, it always displays a GPS icon (looks like a little green satelite) while running. I have tried several settings with & without status program on, and with assist on & off, but always it never connects and just keeps searching. The fact that the satelite icon never appears at the top of the screen seems to indicate that GPSed is unsuccessful in even accessing the built-in GPS in the phone. I should point out that I have a W760a model phone, which is the AT&T branded version sold by AT&T in the USA. I have not been successful in connecting with the built-in GPS with any other third party GPS program. I'm unable to find out version information of the previous installation. But the file size shows as 224.0kB and the date of installation is 2nd November 2008.Hope that helps you identify the Version.
