please forget my last post. you can use it in the background by just pressing the panel button again. (minimize would be nice but it works fine enough without)

BUT I CAN NOT USE PRIVATE TRACKS!!!
before tracking you can choose between private or public track - it is always public whether you choose the one or the other.

thanks

with my sony xperia x1 there is the panel funktion. i think htc has similar functions. it would be nice to have the option to "minimize" the programm like when you close the opera browser. so gpsed can be active completely in the background and the user is able to use all functions of his phone. thanks whyatt

Nice program but I would like to suggest the following. The ability to send an sms or email with a gogle kml link (only a point) that can be opened with google maps mobile on the receiving end which can be used to direct a person to your position.
