Mobile GPS Tracking Service

May 23rd, 2008 by Valery

We get a lot of feedbacks from our users, specially from GPSed Mobile Application for BlackBerry users and we are trying to take into account all the wishes and correct the detected bugs.

That’s why we proudly present the new version of the application GPSed Mobile Application for BlackBerry version 0.961 BETA. We have implemented a totally new User Interface, in which the information is presented in the most handy look. The most important and interesting information (current speed, course, track length, satellite state) is carried out to the application main screen.

Besides, we have made the following in the new version:

  • Easy-to-use intuitive navigation between the application screens
  • Graphical course indicator (something like a compass)
  • The correct track length and speed displaying
  • The work with the track list was improved
  • Some other small bugs were fixed

We hope you will enjoy the new UI and functionality of the application. We are open to your comments about the application and service work.

I downloaded the latest version of GPSed for Blackberry and I am still experiencing intermitttent failure to connect. Connection is most likely to occur after removing the battery from the blackberry in what can be considered rebooting the phone. This action removes all cached pages and junk that collects during internet browsing, email traffic, etc. However, I am now having difficulty connecting through GPSed at any time.

I have tried both Blackberry Maps and Google maps and I am able to connect to the external GPS puck.

I also see that others have recorded tracks for hours or even days. When I do get GPSed to connect to the puck, I connect for maybe one hour and then the connection is lost and I can not reconnect no matter what i have tried.
