Mobile GPS Tracking Service

August 12th, 2008 by alex

The Fast: GPSed.com has just become much faster than it used to be. We’ve turbocharged two main pages: the first page of the service, and, more importantly - the track page. There’s really no chance you can miss it.

The Curious: If you are a member of hikers, bikers, drivers, riders, runners, paragliders, or any other community of active curious people, now you can associate your tracks with the community. The name and link to the community website will be shown to every GPSed.com visitor viewing your track. We believe it’s a nice and easy way to tell people about your activities and engage more members. To add your communities or organizations to our service, please write to  communities@gpsed.com

And more:

- Better slide shows for track photos

- Detailed track information is now hidden by default, leaving more space for photos

Do you miss some specific feature on GPSed.com? Let us know!

Gpsed,

Guys love your app. I use it regularly on my 8310. I took a track while on a flight in Oz recently and it does not show the altitude when viewed in G Earth. Is this possible and if not when will it be introduced. Thought it would work in the GE plugin via the earth button you recently introduced.

Thanks for your feedback. This problem is familiar to us, and implementation of altitude support in Google Earth (including GE browser plugin) is in our plans.

IMHO there are some usability problem.
1. It will be perfect if a track page has link to all other author’s track.
2. If a track don’t open I can’t get link on this track. But I just want to get link on some track after search it.

snaky, thanks for the feedback. We’ll fix these small issues in future updates.
