Mobile GPS Tracking Service

April 30th, 2008 by Valery

In addition to our previous post about GPSed for Windows Mobile beta-release, we want to announce new features on GPSed.com web site.

One feature that we personally believe to be the most interesting is the list of “Featured Tracks” on the main page of the website. This list shows the most interesting and beautiful tracks, selected manually for you by GPSed project team.

GPSed Featured Tracks

The list of Featured Tracks will be updated regularly so that the GPSed users can easily find and review most interesting and exciting trips and photos.

Amongst other great features is the ability to find tracks nearest to yours, icons of country flags in a list of recent tracks and other small UI improvements.

By the way, we are planning to release a new version of Take’n'Pin software in the next week. The new release will include a completely new design, useful wizards, time zone support and bugfix. So stay tuned and subscribe to RSS if you haven’t done so already.

The featured tracks is another great way to browse track files. How about adding some ability in the search tool to find a track by location? Perhaps by city, state or country? Another useful way to search would be by keywords from the track description. Thanks!
