Mobile GPS Tracking Service

February 19th, 2009 by odonata

As usual we are trying to improve GPSed service to make it even more useful and convenient for our users.

Now we have updated cities database and also algorithm of locality determination was changed. After such changes the locality determination became even more precise.

How it could be useful?

Now you can get more detailed information on your tracks or the tracks by other users. Open you track, click on the track line and choose “Track info“.

Get an information on the country and locality where the track was started and where it was finished.

The track could be started in one country and finished in the other:

Or started and finished in the same country but in different localities:

Learn more about your tracks and the tracks by other users now in more details.

With kind regards,

When I download tracks to user: zudve I get the location as unknown. I would like to change this. How do I do this?

There is no way to choose manually location of tracks, it’s determined automatically using our database. But we are thinking to add a possibility of manual selection.

The point is that when I download my tracks (Zudve) the tracks are allocated “unknown” by your automatic database.
